Do you have pets or work with animals?
I want to introduce you to Charlotte MacFarlane, an amazing veterinarian and animal healer. Charlotte joined my Mastermind in search of finding a direction and path for her passions, as well as to clear away unwanted thoughts and baggage from her past. In the past nine months Charlotte has learned my B.R.A.I.N. System and the its tool. She has incorporated them into her natural health and acupuncture for animals business with awesome success. Here is a recent conversation we shared.
Louise Swartswalter: Please share where you started. What was your pain?
Charolette Macfarlane: I first met you at the Brain-Soul Success Bootcamp in Albuquerque, last March (2017). I was struggling to know, or maybe accept, the future I had designed for myself. I had recently started a business that I was passionate about — bringing alternative health care to animals and preventing disease instead of just treating it.
But really, I was struggling because I didn’t think I was accessing my full potential. I had other interests I wanted to pursue, too. But, I didn’t see how I could incorporate everything together. It was all important to me, but I felt that I had to choose. I felt that I needed to commit all my time to the business in order to be successful, and I felt that I needed to follow this expected path.
Instead of gaining freedom by starting my business, I was trapped and anxious. Instead of building myself with this new business, I was losing potential.
LS: What have you learned that has helped you ease that pain?
CM: “I can.” I think that’s the most important piece. I can achieve anything I set an intention for — I can balance all my interests. And I can be successful in all of them.
From the medical side, the experiences I’ve had have really opened my eyes to just how much emotion plays a role in disease — that physical pain or dysfunction can be entirely from trapped emotions and the pain can actually be outside the body, in the energy field.
LS: What is your personal transformation?
CM: Personally, I’ve seen huge growth. I’ve up-leveled!
One of the biggest wins was overcoming anxiety and depression, which has plagued me since I was young. I had been diagnosed with dysthymia, which is genetic depression, and told I would always feel depressed. Fortunately, with your guidance, we have cleared the ancestral energies keeping me there, and I feel awesome!
Other wins from the past year include a more fulfilling marriage, eliminating debt, changing the way I view and interact with other people, and generally becoming a more compassionate and satisfied human being. I’ve also engaged and embraced my passion for writing like never before. I’m setting bigger goals than I ever dared to dream, and I’m achieving them!
LS: How are you helping animals in even a bigger way now?
CM: The work has been incredibly powerful with my animal patients. I would say that I use emotion codes at least 90% of the time when treating a pet — sometimes to calm an animal who is upset during the exam or treatment, but more often to help release trapped emotions that are at the root of a pain or disease process.
I frequently slip in some positive points and clearings, sometimes for relaxation or sometimes with an intention (“the kidneys function at 100%”). I have used integrations, as well.
Doing this work all the time has helped strengthen my intuition. It’s difficult to say just how much this has strengthened my work with other modalities, like acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I will say that ideas just come to me, like today when I grabbed a certain herb before leaving the office only to delightfully discover I needed it later in the day. Now, even when practicing in the confines of Western medicine, I find myself thinking of diagnostics or treatments I wouldn’t have before . As one of the vet techs I work with says, “She just pulls this stuff out of nowhere!”

LS: Do you have any examples you can share with us?
CM: One of my favorite examples is this lovely old dog who I see regularly to help manage arthritis. I was told on my first visit that he had had acupuncture before and it really seemed to help, but he didn’t like it. I was warned not to touch his feet or he would bite. During the first treatment, the dog was incredibly anxious, and I could only place four needles in his back. I don’t think anyone involved had a good time.
On the second visit (I was just starting to learn your work), I decided I needed to try something more. He was pacing around the room, visibly shaking when told to stay still for his acupuncture. I started doing emotion codes. After the first swipe down his back, he fell asleep. He relaxed so immediately and quickly he actually hit the floor and kept on sleeping. For his treatments now, he climbs up on the couch and holds out a foot for me to needle.
In another dog, I relieved incontinence using soul-tie boxes and entity clearing, even when nothing else was working. My eventing horse has become a far more sane and predictable creature with positive points and clearings. And, I like to think, I’ve helped ease the transitions of old animals by releasing their fears and emotions, and by extension their family’s.
LS: Wow, thank you for sharing your experience, Charolette. It thrills me to see how far you have come. In just 9 months your whole life is different!
