Overcoming Autoimmune Diseases Through Biofeedback and Holistic Healing with Gwen Foster

Autoimmune diseases can leave you feeling like a prisoner in your own body. For over a decade, Gwen Foster lived with debilitating symptoms that seemed to have no end in sight. Chronic fatigue, lupus, fibromyalgia, Hashimoto’s, and shingles were just some of the diagnoses she endured. Conventional medicine labeled her conditions “incurable,” leaving Gwen with a pile of prescriptions and no real solutions.

But Gwen refused to accept that diagnosis as the end of her story.

In the latest episode of The Brain Soul Success Show, I sat down with Gwen, a holistic health pioneer, biofeedback expert, and my dear friend of over 24 years. Together, we explored her remarkable healing journey and the powerful tools she’s developed to help others overcome chronic health challenges.

Gwen’s Health Crisis: How It All Began

In 1988, Gwen took a trip to Africa, following every precaution recommended at the time. She received vaccines, took malaria medication, and avoided local water and fresh produce. Upon returning home, she felt fine—at first. But over the course of a year, her health began to unravel.

“I started experiencing fatigue, digestive issues, and what I now know were the early signs of autoimmune disease,” Gwen explained. Over the next 10 years, her health deteriorated further, culminating in diagnoses like lupus, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, shingles, and fibromyalgia.

Despite seeking help from countless doctors, Gwen was left with no answers—only a growing list of medications. “Not one doctor asked if I had traveled outside the country. Not one ran a parasitology test,” she said. “It was just more steroids, more prescriptions, and no solutions.”

The Turning Point: Discovering Natural Health

After 10 years of frustration, Gwen turned to holistic health, beginning with the work of Hanna Kroeger, a pioneer in natural health remedies. “Three people told me about Hanna’s work in a short period of time, and I knew I had to look into it,” Gwen shared. Attending Hanna’s classes in Boulder, Colorado, was a life-changing experience. It was there that Gwen began uncovering the root causes of her illnesses.

Through natural remedies, dietary changes, and detox protocols, Gwen started to heal. One of the most transformative tools in her journey was biofeedback.

What is Biofeedback?

Biofeedback is a holistic healing technology that measures and addresses imbalances in the body’s energy field. Using advanced software, practitioners can identify physical, emotional, and even ancestral factors contributing to chronic illness.

“It’s like having a conversation with your body,” Gwen explained. “The biofeedback system scans for issues and matches them with solutions, whether it’s clearing emotional blocks or addressing physical imbalances.”

For Gwen, biofeedback was the missing piece that allowed her to pinpoint hidden factors like parasites, environmental toxins, and emotional traumas.

Today, she is free from medications and chronic symptoms—a testament to the power of holistic healing.

Developing the NuVision Program

Over the years, Gwen’s passion for biofeedback led her to develop the NuVision Program, a state-of-the-art biofeedback system that builds on decades of research. Unlike earlier systems, NuVision offers unparalleled accuracy, reproducibility, and the ability to customize protocols for each client.

“I wanted a tool that was not only powerful but also practical for practitioners,” Gwen shared. “NuVision allows you to uncover root causes, create personalized healing plans, and even work remotely with clients.”

As someone who has used NuVision in my own practice, I can attest to its effectiveness. It has helped me identify deep-rooted issues in my clients and create tailored healing plans that address their unique needs.

The Emotional Side of Healing

While biofeedback played a major role in Gwen’s recovery, she emphasized the importance of addressing emotional and spiritual health. “Autoimmune diseases are often rooted in unresolved trauma,” she explained. “You have to dig deep to find those layers and release them.”

One powerful example Gwen shared involved a client struggling with grief after losing her daughter in a car accident. “She had done years of grief work but was still stuck,” Gwen said. “The NuVision scan revealed a ‘severe visual separation conflict.’ She had witnessed the accident and was reliving the impact over and over again. Once we addressed that, her grief lifted.”

Key Lessons from Gwen’s Journey

Gwen’s story is not just about overcoming illness—it’s a blueprint for anyone seeking to reclaim their health. Here are some of the lessons she’s learned along the way:

  1. Question the “Incurable” Label
Chronic illnesses often have root causes that conventional medicine overlooks. Healing is possible when you dig deeper.
  2. Take a Holistic Approach
True healing addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health.
  3. Invest in the Right Tools
Biofeedback and other holistic technologies can provide insights you won’t find elsewhere.
  4. Self-Care is Non-Negotiable
“You can’t heal others if you don’t take care of yourself,” Gwen said. Prioritize sleep, nutrition, and emotional balance.

Healing Autoimmune Diseases is Possible

Gwen’s journey is a powerful reminder that healing is within reach, even when the odds feel stacked against you. Through biofeedback, holistic health, and a relentless commitment to uncovering root causes, she found freedom from autoimmune diseases—and she’s dedicated her life to helping others do the same.

If you’re feeling stuck in your own health journey, I encourage you to explore the tools and techniques Gwen discusses in this episode.
