Goal Setting
Why set a goal and write it down? Successful people set goals, write their goals down and follow a plan to achieve them. Research states that goals are 50% more likely to be achieved when they are written down. I have created a step by step plan to help you achieve your dreams. It is simple, effective and easier than you think. Why?
How it all started…
It all started back in 1989 after my son was born. I had failing health and began doctor hopping when the medical profession could not help my chronic fatigue. I found an osteopath that helped me with diet and supplements, chiropractors that helped my structural body and I read countless books, articles and prayed. I found that the physical body was not responding quickly so I began to write out goals or affirmations. I read these daily and was frustrated when they did not work. All I wanted was to feel good and be a great Mom. Years later I found that it was the emotions- passion- the WHY that mattered. When I added emotion and passion and commitment I achieved each of my goals more quickly. Our family moved from Chicago to Taos, New Mexico to the mountains to escape the sea of chemicals used in Illinois on the grass and farms. I could breathe and we saw double rainbows daily! I taught my children to write affirmation goal cards for each area of their life like the image below- “The Wheel of Life.”
But I was still out of balance and I knew I needed to seek another piece of healing. I focused on prayer, spiritual work and being in nature and I was better -still lacked something. I kept seeking. I began an intense program to learn how to help dyslexics read and could finally work again. Now that I felt I was a great Mom, all I wanted was to work again to provide more for family and be a great role model for my children. We moved to Albuquerque seven years later and my goal was to help one dyslexic student.
I wrote this goal on a card and read it daily. I began a photo album with all my affirmation cards. I looked back and could see my growth.
If I can do this, you can too!
It was amazing! Fast forward fifteen years and now I am a doctor of Naturopathy, Integrative Life Coach, biofeedback specialist, kinesiologist and energy worker. I own Albuquerque Natural Health Center and have a busy practice serving clients locally and worldwide. Today I see just as many folks long distance as I do in person. I have created my Brain Signature program and building a world wide coaching program.
How could I have done all this? Setting goals, persistence and passion! I want you to have the steps , too.
There are six steps to setting a goal. The first step is to think about your goals and write them down in cursive on an index card. Hand writing helps to imprint them in your brain and is better than typing. Where do you want to go? Health, relationship, financial, abundance, experiences, career, etc. The second step it to feel it 100%. Picture yourself already there as if you have achieved it and feel that feeling….like you just won the lottery. Allow it to radiate out from your entire being. These are the feelings you want to experience and re -create every day!
To learn and implement the next four steps …. I have four 45 minute spots this week to meet with you to uncover your biggest obstacle and walk you through the steps. Fill out the form here: www.beautifulbalancedbrain.com and our team will contact you to schedule our call.
I look forward to your witnessing your success! Please leave a comment or question below. We love to hear from you!
